BMWG650X (All) Shock. The X Country has a traditional coil spring shock; a basic unit with ride height adjustment, giving between 330-338mm length. The 650 X Challenge however has an air shock which is OK for light riding to the shops to get some milk and a paper but not much else. It wallows, tops out and has been known to leak.

Thewise thing to do is to keep the engine at lower revs, where it proves to be much more efficient. The Xmoto gets a 5-speed transmission that requires some getting used to. BMW's decision to incorporate a longer reduction ratio than the Xchallenge model seems judicious and befitting the general specifications of this bike.

Iwas really happy switching to a $650 Hyperpro. There is a reason the 10 year old bike you are looking at is priced at $5100, even though the new price fell to $5995 at the end. It is a great bike and most owners really like the fuel injection, added power, lower weight compared to the other 650cc competitors.
